1. Oxford

Lord Chancellor and Archbishop John Morton (to whom More had been apprenticed as a boy in order to learn the ways of the court) sent More to study at Oxford for 2 years. He attended Canterbury College, which is now Christ Church College (right). Later, More served as the High Steward of Oxford. In 1518, he wrote an official letter defending Greek studies at Oxford.
